The Wound Healing Center is a state-of-the-art, hospital-based, outpatient center specializing in the treatment of chronic wounds that have not responded to previous therapies. The Wound Healing Center serves patients of both UMMC Midtown Campus and University of Maryland Medical Center.
The Center is well equipped with four treatment rooms, two mono-place hyperbaric oxygen chambers and the newly expanded vascular lab. The Center’s multidisciplinary physician panel works to develop a comprehensive care plan tailored to each patient. A dedicated physician and nurse case manager team is assigned to each patient in order to better address their individual needs and improve outcomes.
Many types of patients, including diabetic, geriatric, post-surgical and post-trauma patients, can benefit from the advanced treatments and expertise offered by the Wound Healing Center.
