Specialists in the ID Division diagnose and treat complicated infectious diseases, with a particular focus on the comprehensive care of patients with HIV, infections in patients with cancer, and patients who have had surgery and transplants. Specialty care is also available for patients with Hepatitis B and C, meningitis, severe hospital-acquired infections, and other infectious diseases.

Institute of Human Virology (IHV)
IHV is a special program for people living with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and C, and other viral diseases, as well as a free HIV testing site for members of the community. The office is staffed by HIV expert physicians, social workers and nurses who provide high quality, confidential HIV specialty and primary care services. IHV provides multidisciplinary, individualized care to address our patients' medical, social, emotional and financial needs.
The JACQUES Initiative focuses on peer-support and education. The program provides comprehensive primary medical care to HIV positive men and women including onsite case management, mental health and treatment support services, as well as referrals for substance abuse and housing.
The community-based program provides support groups and peer-counseling for recently diagnosed and long-term patients. JACQUES operates using the Journey to Wellness Model:
