Un esguince de tobillo es una lesión común en este sitio y la forma más común como se presenta es cuando el tobillo se tuerce hacia adentro (esguince por inversión). Con esta lesión, los ligamentos que brindan soporte al tobillo se pueden desgarrar, llevando a que se presente hinchazón, inflamación o hematoma alrededor del mismo.
